c•~ <br />Ramsey Fire Department <br />Monthly Report for July and August 2008 <br />Emergency Response <br />Ramsey Fire Department (RFD) responded to a total of 90 calls in July and August: (49 in July <br />and 41 in August) A breakdown of those calls by month is as follows: <br />July <br />• Fire Related 23 <br />• Rescue/Personallnjury 10 <br />• Duty Officer (Single person response) 16 <br />,August <br />• Fire related 25 <br />• Rescue/Personallnjury 6 <br />• Duty Officer (Single person response) 10 <br />Notable Responses: <br />• July 1 Lifetime Fitness employee splashed with sulfuric acid, assisted with victim care an <br />cleanup <br />• July 11 Auto Aid to Anoka for structure fire (canceled in-route) <br />• July 16 Auto Aid to Andover for structure fire (canceled at scene) <br />July 26 Child struck by vehicle, DOA <br />• August 4 grass fire in Nowthen, farmer mowing hay and started field on fire <br />• August 6 PI on Hwy 7 and 182nd. 2 vehicle accident (head-on) 3 victims involved, one <br />elderly female dies later. <br />• August 11 explosive devise found in mailbox, assisted with disposal <br />• August 12 Auto Aid to Andover for garage fire <br />August 14 response to #100 propane tanks in attic of garage. (Possible former meth lab <br />issue) Moved tanks from structure, coordinated disposal through state agencies. <br />• August 16 RR track fires from grinding operation on RR tracks <br />• August 16 Mutual Aid to Andover for garage fire <br />• August 22 Large grass fire in Nowthen from farming operation <br />• August 26 deck fire on unoccupied home, estimated damages $2500 <br />• August 27 Auto Aid to Andover, lightning strike and structure fire <br />• August 31 3 season porch fire, estimated damages $5000 <br />-3- <br />
