Councilmember Strommen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #08-09-175 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROPOSED 2008, PAYABLE 2009, TAX LEVY AND SCHEDULE BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING DATES NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, COUNTY OF ANOKA, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: I) That the following proposed levies for certified 2008, payable 2009, be levied upon the taxable property in said City of Ramsey, Anoka County, State of Minnesota for the following purposes: GENERAL LEVY Fund 101: General Fund - General Operations Fiscal Disparity Transfer - as estimated Collected as Property Tax EDA Levy Collected as Property Tax General Levy $ 894,172 291,705 7.232.862 $8,418,739 DEBT SERVICE LEVY Lease Revenue Bond (collected as property tax): Municipal Center Certificates of Indebtedness CIP Bond - Fire Station #1 449,362 4490,613 152,024 1,091,999 DRAINAGE DISTRICT LEVY Mississippi River Stormwater Subdrainage District 43,348 TOTAL PROPOSED LEVIES $9.554.086 2) That the City of Ramsey will not be levying the $354,598.13 related to the $4,225,000 GO Improvement Bond, Series 2005B, as per Joint Powers Agreement with Anoka County. Anoka County is required to pay directly to the City, this debt service amount. . 3) That the City of Ramsey will not be levying the total $1,449,362 related to the Project Lease Revenue Bond for the Municipal Center. The City will levy $449,362 and fund the remainder debt payment with an internal transfer from the Water Utility Fund in the amount of$I,OOO,OOO.
