<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Monday, September 8, <br />2008, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Discuss Adoption of Resolution re PACT Charter School <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that this item was tabled by the Council on April 8, 2008. He <br />stated that the minutes from that meeting noted that the Council wanted to see this item after the <br />District Court made a ruling. He stated that the District Court has ruled and the information is in <br />the packet, which basically preserves the status quo at the school. He stated that the case is being <br />sent onto the appellate court and asked if the Council would like to bring this item to a regular <br />meeting for action or if they would like to wait until the appellate court makes its decision. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he feels the same as he did before and, until there is final action from <br />the courts, he is in favor of not taking any action. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that the District Court has made a ruling. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he understands the District Court has made a decision, but, personally, <br /> <br />Council Work Session/September 8, 2008 <br />lof6 <br />
