<br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Monday, September 8, 2008, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey (arrived at 6:36 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurt Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Assistant City Engineer Tim Himmer <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the special meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 6:34 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Discussion of Acquisition of 7131166th Avenue NW, Related to Improvement <br />Project #08-27, 167th Avenue NW Realignment <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that this special meeting is to discuss the possible acquisition or a <br />partial acquisition of7131 - 166th Avenue NW. He stated that Minnesota Statute 13B-05 states <br />that the Council may meet in closed session to discuss this type of issue. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey arrived at the meeting. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that this meeting will be tape recorded and the recording will be <br />kept for 8 years. He suggested that the Council move into a closed session. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to move the Special City <br />Council meeting into a closed session. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec and Councilmembers Dehen, Jeffrey, Look, Olson <br />and Strommen.
