<br />Councilmember Elvig stated that Mr. Lasher has been involved in the Ramsey Crossings project <br />and has been intimate with this project and also did a lot for the parking ramp. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen reiterated that he didn't intend to "bash" Mr. Lasher, but feels the <br />argument could also be made that, for instance, the Ramsey Crossings project did not go through. <br />He stated that he just wants the process to be fair and is not questioning Mr. Lasher's <br />competency. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen stated that there were other proposals, but Mr. Lasher's was the most <br />comprehensive. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that although the City did not put together an RFP, Mr. Lasher's <br />proposal pulled all of the elements together with a good package and he has a good track record <br />with the City. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen stated that she feels the City needs someone who understands the big <br />picture and can bring in others, when necessary. She stated that Mr. Lasher brings overall <br />project management to the City. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that the other consultants were not at the table to tell us what they <br />could do. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen stated that the consultants were all given the same information, but <br />their proposals and what they felt they could do were all different.
