<br />Councilmember Olson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-06-116 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #08-35 RAMSEY TOWN CENTER WEAR COURSE INSTALLATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey was successful in securing the Letter of Credit in the amount <br />$3,000,000, that provided the funding for, completion of improvements intiated by Ramsey Town <br />Center, LLC, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, East Ramsey Parkway was constructed in 2004 as a developer Phase I <br />improvement and is not connected with an escrow for a plat; and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has established a policy requiring installation of bituminous wear <br />course within I year of installation. of the bituminouse base to provide the full design capacity of the <br />street and protect the exposed curb edges. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the one year time frame has been exceeded. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />I) The advertisement shall be according to state law. <br /> <br />2) The bids will be publicly opened and tabulated. <br /> <br />3) The Bids will be brought before the council for awarding of the contract. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Strommen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-06-116 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
