<br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated this is regarding irrigation for Riverdale Park and noted that <br />if Council approves this, it can be put in the ground this fall and available for use this spring. He <br />stated that irrigation is fairly expensive initially, but they feel it is worth it because it will <br />improve the park and will also improve property values of those that are adjacent to the park. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen stated that she feels the City should thank John and Sharon Freeburg, <br />as they have served as irrigation for the park for quite some time. She stated that they are owed a <br />big thanks for their efforts. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood agreed that the Freeburgs dragged their hoses to the property for <br />many, many years. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig asked for a review of the funding for this project. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood noted that $45,000 will come from Park Improvement Trust Fund <br />and may be able to cover costs for benches in the park also. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to approve up to <br />$45,000 from the Park Improvement Trust Fund for irrigation, and other minor improvements to <br />Riverdale Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Strommen, Jeffrey, Look, <br />and Olson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Dehen. <br /> <br />Case #12: <br /> <br />Consider Confirmation of Directions Given in Closed Session <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that Council met in closed meeting earlier tonight but did not take <br />any action. <br /> <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Reschedule Meetings <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that staff is recommending that the meeting scheduled for <br />November 4, 2008, Election Night, be rescheduled to Wednesday, November 5, 2008 because <br />there is also a Canvassing Board meeting that evening. He stated that the meeting scheduled for <br />the following week is on Veteran's Day, November 11,2008 and staff recommends rescheduling <br />that meeting to Monday, November 10,2008. <br /> <br />New Four Way Stop Sign <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich noted that there is a new four way stop at Ramsey Boulevard and <br />Alpine Drive. <br /> <br />Introduction of New Intern <br /> <br />City Council!
