<br />Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-09-171 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br />RIDGE ROCKER ROOFING FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SHINGLE ROOFS <br />AT THE CENTRAL PARK FACILITIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey experienced hail damage to several facilities and <br />vehicles on May 25,2008 due to a severe thunderstorm; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities has reviewed all city facilities for storm <br />damage following the May 25th storm event; and . <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the roof on the three buildings at Central Park were severely damaged by <br />hail and require replacement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, city staff has secured three (3) quotes for the replacement of the roofs on <br />the three buildings and has checked references and reviewed the bid with the lower bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes staff to enter into a contract with <br />Ridge Rocker Roofing for the replacement of the shingle. roofs at the Central Park <br />Facilities. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Jeffrey, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br />
