capacity wells that .may alter the boundaries of the WHPA, There are no high capacity wells located in either DWSMA other than our municipal wells, and few disposal wells. Storage tanks are primarily limited to service stations or our own public works fuel tanks, By far the largest potential threat to the municipal well field is from other wells which could provide an avenue for the .introduction of contaminants into (or within close proximity to) the source aquifer, The action implementation steps should be focused accordingly. The Department of Health has provided a list of possible action steps that could be considered, This list is attached and contains over 130 suggestions for the Committee's consideration, Dote that the suggestions presented are divided into general categories which include public education; services; and regulations, Five proposed action steps which focus in the general category of education .have been drafted by staff and are attached. Staff recommends that major emphasis be placed in the education area. If action steps, related to services and regulation are desired, direction should be provided by the Committee.
