She asked anyone interested in attending <br />to give them a call at 763-506-1107 and noted that tickets are $65 each. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Nowthen Heritage Days <br />Mayor Gamec noted that last Saturday was Nowthen Heritage Days and stated that they <br />have become the City of Nowthen. <br />Happy Days <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he wanted to thank the Happy Days Committee for all their <br />hard work and noted that although there wasn't good luck with the weather, the events <br />still went on and there was an outstanding fire works display. <br />PACT Charter School <br />Mayor Gamec noted that the City hosted a tour for PACT charter school and their 3rd and <br />4t' graders learned a bit on how a City works. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />Keith Kiefer, 6203 Rivlyn Avenue NW, stated that he had a letter that he would like to <br />read for the record. He read the. letter aloud which commended City Administrator <br />Ulrich, City Clerk Jo Thieling and other staff for keeping voters informed and engaged. <br />He noted that their efforts paid off because Ramsey was above average in voter turn out <br />at 15% and noted the State average was 10%. He noted that Anoka may have also <br />benefited from their efforts, since theirs was between 23% and 28%. He stated that he <br />wanted to thank everyone involved and would like all involved to receive a copy of the <br />letter. <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he is glad this was brought up because there were over. 400 <br />people that worked on the election and their training takes a lot of time. He thanked the <br />election judges and everyone involved with the recent election and noted that it went very <br />smoothly and the results were timely and he is hoping to have the same in the general <br />election on November 4t`. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Look, to approve the <br />Agenda, as submitted. <br />Motion carried.
