The cost of the three inch bituminous based upon the bid price would be $3,881 per <br />unit or an average of $577 per year if you elect to have the project special assessment paid over a <br />ten year period. The cost of the originally specified two-inch mat would be $3,385 per unit or an <br />average of $504 per year. <br /> <br />The City Council will be taking action on awarding the bids on Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at 7:00 <br />p.m. I will be recommending award of the project with a three-inch bituminous mat in <br />accordance with your signed petition. Because of your petition I expect the City Council to <br />accept my recommendation.
