Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #00-10- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #00-21, 143lm AVENUE N.W. STREET AND UTILITY <br />CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on SePtember 13, 2000, City Council adopted Resolution #00-09-XXX <br />approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #00-21, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary the six lowest quotes that were received: <br /> <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Erickson Construction, Inc. <br />Barbarossa & Sons <br />S.J. Louis Construction <br />Northdale Construction Co. <br />W.B Miller, Inc. <br />LaTour Construction, Inc. <br /> <br />$497 580.48 <br />$505 994.00 <br />$517 325.50 <br />$517 929.28 <br />$520 650.85' <br />$524 681.11 <br /> <br />Engineers Estimate <br /> <br />$582,157.75 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Erickson Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract with Erickson Construction, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br /> construction of Improvement Project #00-21 in the amount of $497,580.48. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been sig-ned. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />-219- <br /> <br /> <br />
