RECEIVE RESIGNATION OF CHRIS DEMPSEY, PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MEMBER AND AUTHORIZE STAFF TO BEGIN A REPLACEMENT PROCESS <br /> <br /> Kim Moore-Sykes, Assistant City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: On October 16, 2000 Staff received a letter of resignation from Chris <br />Dempsey advising the City that he is regretfully resigning from the Planning Commission <br />to relocated to Los Vegas, Nevada. <br /> <br />Observations: In April, the City Council received several letters of interest from <br />residents interested in serving on various commissions that had vacancies. Fortunately, <br />the City received more letters so that vacancies that occurred since were filled.
