Park and Recreation Commission Park's Capital Improvement - 2004 <br /> <br />-270- <br /> <br />Central Park East Access Road and'Picnic Area: <br /> <br />This project entails adding an entrance to Central Park from the north and south east on <br />undeveloped east 35 acres, the benefit will be to reduce existing ingress egress t~'affic <br />and add parking spaces. The purposed park drive will also allow staff to begin <br />development of the picnic area in the oak woods in the northeast comer of the parcel. <br /> <br />Alpine Park Playground Area: <br /> <br />A larger play structure will serve Alpine's Community Park needs as .well as being within <br />walking distance from several neighborhoods. The playground will be near the entrance <br />and visible form the east end of Alpine Estates residents. A tiered and irrigated perennial <br />bed around the site is planned for as part of the playground. <br /> <br />Lake Itasca Community Park: <br /> <br />It is expected that the property south of 153rd Avenue west of Puma Street may be <br />developed around 2004, providing the park dedication dollars to begin construction of the <br />park. By planning the park's development concurrent with any residential project, both <br />entities may derive benefit in terms of grading, utilities and storm water treatment.
