Councilmember introduced the following resoluti°n and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #00-10-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION TO ARLENE STAFFORD, RECORDS MANAGER <br />FOR RAMSEY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey wishes to recognize the <br />contribution of Arlene Stafford, who was employed as clerical staff to the Police Department on <br />May 30, 1978; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Arlene also served as elections liaison for the City of Ramsey for a period <br />of years; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Arlene was promoted to Cl'erical V in 1983, Police Administrative <br />Assistant in 1988, and Records Manager in 1994; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Arlene was very active in labor negotiations and also has served on the <br />Labor Management Committee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Arlene will retire from public employment on November 1, 2000, after <br />more than 22 years of service to the community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Arlene has served the City of Ramsey and its residents diligently and <br />conscientiously. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby expresses their gatitude to Arlene Stafford for the <br /> lengthy and dedicated service she has given to the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution' was duly seconded by Councilmember · and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 24~' day of October 2000. <br /> <br />-45- <br /> <br /> <br />
