Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #00-06-XXX RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTI~4CT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99-66, #99-68, AND #00-28 A.K.A. 2000 STORM WATER PROJECTS WHEREAS, Resolution #00-06-were adopted by Ramsey City Council on May 9, 2000, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, Resolution#00-05- was adopted by Ramsey City Council approving the plans and specifications and the advertisement for bids for the above-referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #99-66, #99-68, and #00-28 a.k.a 2000 Storm Water Projects, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 8, 2000; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received for Improvement Project #00-27: Bidder Amount of Bid Meadowvale Construction Inc. W.B. Miller, Inc. Burschville Construction $262,461.00 $271,695.35 $275,513.61 Engineer's Estimate $288,237.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Meadowvale Construction Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAxMSEY, AxNOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: I) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Meadowvale Construction in the name of the City of Ramsey for Improvement Projects #99-66, #99-68, and #00-28 a.k.a 2000 Storm Water Projects The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: -164- I I I I I: I I' I I I I I I I I I I
