Councilmember introduced the fo[lowing resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #00-06-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF NEW AND REPLACEMENT COMPUTERS, MONITORS AND PRINTER AND TRANSFERRING $3,325 FROlVl EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND TO GENERAL FUND WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of June 13, 2000, staff presented a request for the purchase of 5 computers, 7 monitors, and a laser printer; and WHEREAS~ included in the 2000 Adopted General Fund Budget was net new monies of $6,675 for the purchase of replacement and new computer equipment, software updates and maintenance; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that additional purchases of computer equipment, software updates and maintenance can be completed utilizing $3,325 of net new monies; and WHEREAS, these additional purchases would ~equire a budget amendment to reallocate $3,325 from the Equipment Replacement Fund to the General Fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of seven computers from Netmark, Inc., a laser printer from LOGIS, and 7 monitors from BestBuy, Circuit City or Office Max, in an amount not to exceed $10,000. 2) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment to the General Fund from the Equipment Replacement Fund in the amount of $3,325. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: , and upon vote and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13th day of June, 2000. -322- I !
