<br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />If <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08..06..100 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND A WARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 2008 <br />PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - DIVISION B BITUMINOUS OVERLAYS <br />(IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS 08..05 AND 08..07) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Cotmcil authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications and. the <br />advertisement for bids for the above-referenced work on May 13, 2008; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant. to' an advertisement for bids for the 2008 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 6, 2008; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received for the 2008 Street Maintenance Program <br />Division B Bituminous Overlays: <br /> <br />Proposer <br />Hardrives Inc. <br />Knife River <br />ASTECH Inc. <br />North Valley Inc. <br />Northwest Asphalt Inc. <br />W 8 Miller Inc. <br /> <br />Bid <br />$288,793.85 <br />$289,975.98 <br />$304,949.47 <br />$309,744.40 <br />$311,541.78 <br />$336,417.85 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Hardrives Inc of Rogers, Minnesota is the lowest <br />responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />That. the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Hardrives Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 2008 Pavement <br />Maintenance Program - Division B, Bituminous Overlays (Improvement Projects 08-05 and 08- <br />07) in the amount of$288,793.85. . . <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Strommen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />.
