<br />Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-08-166 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CITY <br />PROJECT 08-36, 144TH AVENUE NW ROADWAY EXTENSION INTO THE SUNFISH <br />LAKE BUSINESS .P ARK <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey' City Council approved the plans and specifications and the' <br />advertisement for bids for the above-referenced work on July 22,2008; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for City project 08-36, bids were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law on August 19,2008; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received for City project 08-36: <br /> <br />Bidder <br />Erin Contracting, Inc, <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. <br />Kober Excavating, Inc. <br />Engineer Estimate <br /> <br />, Bid <br />$ 262,276.74 <br />$ 275,082.10 <br />$ 278,990.39 <br />$ 274,476.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, Erin Contracting, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />I} That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Erin Contracting, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for City project <br />08-36, 144TH Avenue NW roadway extension into the Sunfish Lake Business Park in the <br />amount of $262,276.74. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Jeffrey and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmel.'l1ber Look <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-08-166 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
