<br />RESOLUTION #08~IO-_ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # . RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM A-I CUSTOM SIGNS FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO EXCEED SIGN <br />RESTRICTIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from A-I Custom Signs, hereinafter <br />referred to as the "Applicant", for a conditional use permit to exceed the sign restrictions on the property <br />generally known as 6415 Highway 10 NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Sunfish Commons, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />("Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TillS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY (the "City"), ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the Applicant properly applied for a conditional use permit (the "Permit") to exceed the square <br />footage allowed for directional signs, ground signs and number of ground signs for the Subject <br />Property. <br /> <br />2. That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to 8.ection 9.03.05 (Conditional Use Permits) of the City Code on October 2, 2008 and that said <br />public hearing was properly advertised~ and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated as a part of these fmdings by reference. . <br /> <br />3.. That the Subject Property is approximately 3.79 acres in size. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is zoned H-l Highway Business. <br /> <br />5. That the Subject Property is a multi-terinantfacility. <br /> <br />6. That the Subject Property has public road frontage along one side. <br /> <br />7. That the parcels to the east and west of the Subject Property are also zoned H-l Highway Business, <br />the parcel to the north of the Subject Property, across from the railroad tracks is zoned E-l <br />Employment, and the parcels to the south of the Subject Property (across TH 10) are ~oned B-2 <br />Business District. <br /> <br />8. That parcels in the H-l Highway Business District are limited to one (1) ground sign per parcel. <br /> <br />9. That the maximum height for a ground sign in 25 feet. <br /> <br />10. That there is an existing 100 square foot ground sign on site that advertises the tenants of the <br />Subject Property. <br /> <br />11. Thatthe Applicant has stated the additional ground signs are necessary for directional purposes as a <br />result of the change in traffic patterns caused by the upgrades to Sunfish Lake Boulevard. <br /> <br />-140- <br />
