<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a Work Session on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Police Chief James Way <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig called the City Council Work Session to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Review and Discuss Special Events Permit Request by.High School Reunion Tours, <br />LLP <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated that the City received an application from Rudy <br />Peterson and Patricia Sykes from High School Reunion Tours proposing an event on July 18 and <br />19, 2009 at Central Park. She stated that they have made arrangements for overflow parking at <br />St. Katharine Drexel. She stated that the event would involve live music. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig asked about High School Reunion Tours and how many people they <br />expect at the event. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson stated that the idea started as people getting together and talking about high school <br />reunions and then getting non-profits involved so the proceeds can help people in need. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session I October 21,2008 <br />Page 1 of 11 <br /> <br />-57- <br />
