<br />Mr. Joel Buttenhoffreplied in the affirmative. <br /> <br />Mr. Eric Henry requested that the commencement of the Interim Use Permit run for 36 months <br />from the start of the permit versus the start of the lease. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated he would be agreeable to having the permit run for 36 months from the <br />commencement of the proposed activity. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hunt suggested the permit commence at the time the Certificate of Occupancy is <br />issued from the Building Department. <br /> <br />Mr. Joel Buttenhoff stated the layout drawing included with the agenda was intended to be a <br />preliminary drawing and pointed out there will be two front and two rear exits to the building. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy stated he assumed the issue with installing a fire suppression system is <br />the cost. . <br /> <br />Mr. Eric Henry replied in the affirmative and noted the intended use of the building is unique and <br />does not represent a commercial use. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked about the vicinity of a fire hydrant in relation to the building. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler replied there is a hydrant located at Quicksilver and 167th and stated the fire <br />trucks carry enough high volume hoses to get to the front of this building. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner VanScoy, to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Van Scoy, Brauer, Cleveland, <br />Hunt, and Rogers. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Levine. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:19 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 7: 19 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner VanScoy stated the Fire Chief has indicated he is not entirely comfortable with <br />the intended use but would support it and added the fact that there will be four emergency exits is <br />an important consideration. <br /> <br />Commissiorier Cleveland questioned the cost of liability insurance versus the cost prohibitive <br />nature of installing a sprinkler system and whether one outweighs the other.
