<br />CASE # 3 <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL ,USE PERMITTO EXCEED THE TOTAL <br />,AMOUNT OF ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SQUARE FOOTAGE: <br />CASE OF Gene and Cindy Goe~e <br />By: Tim Gladhill, Associate Planner <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On October 22, 2008, the City received a request from Gene and Cindy Ooede for conditional <br />use permit (CUP) t<? exceed the amount of square footage allowed for accessory structures <br />, located at 17715 Baugh St. N.W. <br /> <br />, The fO,llowing items are enclosed, for your information: <br /> <br />a) Site location map <br />b) Site plan <br />c) Building plans <br />d} Proposed fmdings of fact <br />e) Propose~ conditional use permit <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />In accordance with City Code, Staff attempted to notify property owners within 700 feet of the <br />, property. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting a CUP to allow for the construction of an approximately 4,000 <br />square-foot accessory structure. This building would serve as a storage area for various pieces of <br />equipment, including vehicles used for a business currently operating on the subject property. <br />Currently, this equipment is stored outdoors., <br /> <br />At this time, the subject property has a 480 square foot detached garage, a 1,500 square foot <br />accessory structure, for a total of 1,980 'square feet of accessory space. If the overage of <br />'accessory structure space were to be approved, the total amount of accessory structure square <br />footage would be 5,980 square feet. This would equate to a total of an 880 square foot overage. <br /> <br />The business currently being operated on the subject property is, a tree service. It appears that <br />there are at least five vehicles directly related to the operation of the home occupation. Also, <br />, there is substantial e"id~nce of the home occupation visible from outside the home in the form of <br />stockpiles of wood and tree trimmings. A separate case has been prepared for a home occupation <br />permit application. <br /> <br />41 <br />
