<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKACOUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work-Session on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Coui1cilmember David Elvig' <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councihnember Matt Look, <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Community Development Director Ambet.: Miller <br />Asst Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Fire 9hiefDean Kapler ' <br />Police Chief James Way <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />l:Aayor Gamec c8;lled the City Council Work Session to order at 5:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Police Chief Way stated that he wanted to give a brief update to the Council on a Level ill Sex <br />Offender that was scheduled to move to the City. He stated that this person bought a home in <br />Ramsey with his girlfriend, but is not allowed to live here yet He stated that this person has <br />applied to change his designation from Level ill to Level II, so had made plans to put of{movmg <br />until this could' be determined. He stated that a Level. II offender doesn't have to have the <br />coni1l1unity notification that a Level III offender needs., He stated that the City has information <br />that this individual spent the night over the weekend at the home in Ramsey, which would be a <br />violation so they are working with Hennepin County to resolve the situation which may result iD. <br />additional' jail time for this individual. He stated that there will probably still be a community <br />notification meeting next week, because he doesn't want it to look like the City is trying to hide' <br />anything. He stated that he will keep the Council updated on the situation. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />.
