By: <br /> <br /> CITY CONTRIBUTION FOR THE RAMSEY <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT RELIEF ASSOCIATION <br />Ramsey Fire Department Relief Association Committee <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the Council meeting of November 27, 1990, this case was tabled pending Fire Board review. <br />At the Fire Board meeting of December 4, 1990 it was a consensus that a recommendation on the <br />level of contribution to the Fire Department Relief Association was inappropriate. At the December <br />11, 1990 Council meeting, this request was tabled to the January 22, 1991 Council meeting. <br /> <br />Request: <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Department is requesting that the City of Ramsey supplement the Fire Department <br />Relief Association with a contribution of $17,500 for 1991. The contribution of the City would <br />supplement the Relief Association for the two years of 1989 and 1990 that the Fire Department was <br />unable to receive State aid. <br /> <br />In August of this year the Finance Officer received a copy of a survey conducted by the Finance <br />Officer of Mound, Minnesota. This survey is attached and includes the 1989 City contribution (in <br />addition to the 2% insuran6e) and the number of volunteers. <br /> <br /> <br />
