Applicant Cindy Goede appeared on behalf of her husband, who runs the tree service business. <br />She stated she understands the concerns raised by the McFarlands. She explained the nature of <br />their business to include trimming and cutting down trees, stump grinding, and selling of <br />firewood. She added most of the noise on the site is generated when they have clam trucks <br />taking the logs off of the trucks. She stated the hours of operation vary depending on the job; <br />typically the hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; sometimes later. She noted that unloading of <br />trucks does not occur every day. <br />Chairperson Nixt asked if staff has collected any data regar, <br />business. <br />Associate Planner Gladhill replied that staff doegn!3r have any data and added there are no <br />documented complaints regarding noise levels coming from the site <br />Chairperson Nixt stated that typically the Crty look atcompatibility:;.including noise and <br />sti ,5 r <br />traffic, and staff has made a determination that thi <br />Associate Planner Gladhill concurred; and ;stated this is a acceptable home occupation based on <br />the specific parameters contained in the Q.ity Code <br />Chairperson Nixt stated thereason this request is <br />operating outs thelaram tern o£the hone ccu <br />ll du` S•r h v S ` <br />Associate Planner Gladl ad stated the.e a potential for excessive noise and vibration <br />from wood chippers, but staff has noineasured'he��noise levels on the property.
