BOARD BUSINESS: <br />1) Declare the Results of the November 4, 2008 General Election <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he voted at 7:10 a.m. at the polling place on 167 and it went very <br />quickly. He stated that he and his wife were finished voting by 7:50 a.m. He noted that he has <br />heard compliments from people on how fast the process was for Ramsey. He stated that he <br />wanted to compliment City Clerk Thieling and staff on a job well done. <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated that he believes there is a misspelling of a candidate's name in <br />Ward 4. He stated that he thinks it is Thomas J. Towberman, not Thomas T. Towberman. <br />City Clerk Thieling stated that she will fix it on the agenda for the permanent record. <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated that he was also at the polls early and things went well. He asked <br />if the Board could see the write -in votes. <br />City Clerk Thieling distributed a list of the write -in votes. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to accept the results of <br />the 2008 General Election. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec and Councilmembers Jeffrey, Olson, Elvig, Look <br />and Strommen Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Dehen. <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />None <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Olson to adjourn the Canvassing <br />Board. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec and Councilmembers Look, Olson, Elvig, Jeffrey <br />and Strommen Voting No: None.
