The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Monday, November 10, 2008, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Matt Look <br />Also Present: <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />City Administrator Kurtis G. Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 7:03 p.m., <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Jeffrey. <br />PROCLAMATION HOMELESSNESS AWARENESS MONTH <br />Mayor Gamec read aloud a proclamation declaring Homelessness Aware Month to be November <br />2008. <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey to adopt Resolution # 08 -11 -214, <br />proclaiming Homelessness Awareness Month. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec and Councilmembers Jeffrey, Dehen, Elvig, Olson <br />and Strommen Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Look. <br />Frank Yamatpour, owner of Sunfish Express, stated that the situation with the railroad crossing is <br />worse than ever and there isn't even a light.
