Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing & Adopt Ordinance Establishing the 2009 Schedule of Rates, <br />Fees and Charges <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7: 17 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearin2: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:17 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund stated that the proposed schedule of rates, fees and charges were included <br />in the packet. She reviewed the changes that were not part of the information given to the <br />Council on November 10,2008. She stated that staffis proposing a fee of$150 from November <br />1 through April 1 if the City and shuts off a water meter. She stated that the schedule includes <br />all new fees related to administrative citations that were adopted at the last Council meeting. She <br />reviewed the other charges related to the water study conducted in 2003 to cover water towers, <br />wells, and proposed water treatment plant. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look asked if the increased numbers are part of the proposed 2009 budget. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund stated that the water fees are part of the Enterprise Fund, but the others are <br />forecasted into the budget, such as the license and permit fees. <br /> <br />City Council / November 25, 2008 <br />Page 5 of 24 <br />
