Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Look, Dehen, Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey Case #2: Public Hearing & Adopt Ordinance Establishing the 2009 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7: 17 p.m. in order to conduct a public hearing. Public Hearin2: Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:17 p.m. Presentation Finance Officer Lund stated that the proposed schedule of rates, fees and charges were included in the packet. She reviewed the changes that were not part of the information given to the Council on November 10,2008. She stated that staffis proposing a fee of$150 from November 1 through April 1 if the City and shuts off a water meter. She stated that the schedule includes all new fees related to administrative citations that were adopted at the last Council meeting. She reviewed the other charges related to the water study conducted in 2003 to cover water towers, wells, and proposed water treatment plant. Citizen Input There was none. Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to close the public hearing. Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Dehen, Look, Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. The public hearing was closed at 7:20 p.m. Council Business Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:20 p.m. Councilmember Look asked if the increased numbers are part of the proposed 2009 budget. Finance Officer Lund stated that the water fees are part of the Enterprise Fund, but the others are forecasted into the budget, such as the license and permit fees.
