CONCENT AGENDA t y <br />CONSIDER ENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD <br />FOR A PAID ON-CALL FIRE FIGHTER <br />Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br />Background <br />In 2007, the City conducted a recruitment process for paid on-call Fire Fighters. On <br />December 12, 2007 Mr. Jason Blood and Ms. Vicki Harrington were hired as City of Ramsey <br />Fire Fighters. Mr. Blood and Ms. Harrington have successfully completed their probationary <br />period, including all necessary training. <br />Funding Source <br />This paid on call Fire Fighter position was approved as part of the 2008 General Fund Budget. <br />There are no additional.funding implications associated with removing Mr. Blood and <br />Ms. Harrington from probation. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Based on satisfactory completion of Mr. Blood's and Ms. Harrington's probationary period, <br />staff recommends that the Mr. Blood and Ms. Harrington be retained as a paid on-call Fire <br />. Fighters. <br />Committee Action <br />Make a motion recommending that the City Council adopt a resolution ending the <br />probationary period and granting status as paid on-call Fire Fighter to Mr. Jason Blood and <br />Ms. Vicki Harrington effective December 9, 2008. <br />CC 12-09-08 <br />Reviewed By: ,City Administrator <br />-129- <br />
