Notification: Notification that the Committee would be discussing this issue, (including the closure of 142"d Avenue between Argon and TH 47 and the opening of Argon Street between Mallard Ponds and Flintwood Hills) has been mailed to the property owners identified on the attachment. In addition City staff met with the Mallard Ponds Homeowners Association to present this issue to the Board members. A copy of the notification letter is attached to this case. Recommendation: Staff recommends the following actions be considered by the Committee: • Install a temporary (one to two years) closure of 142nd Avenue between the TH 47 frontage road and Argon Street. The closure would be facilitated with rigid plastic traffic devices that would breakaway if required in an emergency situation. • Negotiate the opening of the gate on Argon Street separating the Mallard Ponds and Flintwood neighborhoods with the Mallard Pond. Townhome Association. • Place "No Access to Highway 47" signs on 143rd Avenue, 142"d Lane, 141St Avenue and 140th Avenue east of Dysprosium Street. • Make no access changes to the intersection of 142nd Avenue and TH 47.
