Mr. Jankowski advised that there are specific conditions for water discharge. He explained that <br />there area couple of situations where it would be inappropriate to dilute that discharge. <br />Chairperson McDilda advised that question 11 on the survey addresses the first concern that <br />Board Member Max had and that question 10 addressed his other concern partially. <br />Mr. Jankowski advised that there are volume controls on what could be run-off by people. <br />Board Member Max questioned how his organization partners with Soil and Water District. <br />Mr. Jankowski advised that there are several tasks that they perform for the organization, such as <br />maintaining the webpage for LRRWMO, they act as a technical reference for the organization, <br />and carry out lake monitoring, among other things. He advised that they utilize that group for <br />several tasks. <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that he was open on how to give suggestions to Mr. Jankowski on <br />the survey and also to resolve .whether or not the survey should be filled .out individually or as a <br />group. <br />Mr. Jankowski advised that he would be changing the survey to include the wetlands comment <br />and once everything was ready to go he would send out a survey to every member of the EPB <br />individually. <br />Board Member Max suggested considering handing out the survey residents waiting in line to <br />vote. <br />Mr. Jankowski advised that he had checked into that and he thought that they would be able to <br />place the surveys in City Hall but he did not think that they could have the surveys in other <br />polling locations. <br />Board Member Freeburg suggested that the Lions Club be included for the survey. <br />Board Member Bentz suggested that the parents of the boy scouts also be included in the survey. <br />Board Member Max questioned if anything other than the water level is controlled by the Rum <br />River Dam. <br />Mr. Jankowski did not think that the Dam had ever done anything other than control the water <br />levels. <br />Board Member Freeburg confirmed that the Dam was only used to control the water level. <br />Environmental Coordinator Anderson advised of a few other organizations that could be <br />contacted in reference to the survey. <br />Board Member Freeburg questioned if any feedback would be received from the survey. <br />Mr. Jankowski- advised that survey results would be posted on the website by the 30th <br />Environmental Policy Board /October 6, 2008 <br />Page 3 of 8 <br />
