CC:~ AUTHORIZE LEASE AGREEMENT FOR USE OF CITY OWNED RALF PROPERTY FOR AHSD COMMUNITY EDUCATION FITNESS CLASSES By: Heidi A. Nelson, Asst. City Administrator Background: Staff was contacted by Anoka Hennepin School District Community Education regarding utilizing the westerly office space at the former NAU Building (6701 HWY_ 10 NW) that was purchased by the City with RALF funds, Staff discussed this potential use of the space and a lease agreement with Council at the regular meeting of November 25th, 2008 and Council directed staff to prepare a lease agreement for Council consideration at the meeting this evening. In summary, the terms of the lease agreement provide for the use of the.space from January 1, 2009-December 31, 2009 for the purpose of Anoka Hennepin School District Community Education ata lease rate of $1.00. AHSD Community Education would be responsible to pay utilities and maintenance of the. site. The lease agreement contains a provision for cancellation. of the lease with 30 days notice at the City's sole discretion. Review of the lease agreement is currently. in progress with AHSD, -staff would like to request that the approval of the lease agreement is contingent on City Attorney approval. Any substantive changes would come back before the council for consideration. Staff Recommendation:..
