The second connection, further to the east, would require acquisition of part of the lot presently managed by MPCA. This would allow for street, and/or trail connections from 148th to the cuI de sac of Garnet Street. Justification I Two important traill?Pportunities exist'relative to Pel\Zer Park: The first is immediately available, and consists of extending the access trail to the play equipment - around the cui de sac easterly to right-of-way on 148th lane. This provides residents of Regency Ponds more of a direct access to the parle. - The second connection, further to the east; would require acquisition of part of the lot presently managed by MPCA, This would allow for street, and/or trail connections from 148th to the cui de'sac of Gamet Street, .and thereby improve access to both Peltzer and Alpine Parks - as well as provide a circuitous walking loop within these neighborhoods. (See also Savanna Trail bridge.) Modest sign age and improved landscape at Peltzer would be a benefit as well.
