CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 23, 1991 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Acting City Administrator/Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney <br />Merland Otto, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />Member Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Bernie Steffen was present and informed City Council that he was given the honor of being <br />elected the Chairperson for the Ramsey Charter Commission. He wanted City Council to know <br />the Charter Commission had been re-formed, their next meeting is scheduled for June 20, 1991, <br />and input from City Council is welcome. He introduced Mr. Richard Netzloff who is also a <br />Charter Commission member. <br /> <br />Mr. Danny Karst was present and stated he would like to be given the opportunity to address the <br />Council when Case #'s 5 and 6 are being discussed. <br /> <br />Mr. Dean Kapler, Ramsey Fire Department was present and stated that since February 12, 1991, <br />the Fire Department has responded to 26 fire calls for a total of 40 calls for the year. He shared the <br />thank you notes the Department had received from people they had provided service for. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich announced he would like a closed meeting following the regular City <br />Council meeting to discuss the pending litigation case of the City of Ramsey versus Holmberg and <br />also the 153rd Condemnation proceedings. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated she would like a Case #16 added regarding the site plan for Mad Mac's Auto <br />Sales for a point of information and also asked that the case numbers for the Faye 2nd Addition <br />cases be reversed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to approve the <br />agenda with the amendments described by Sylvia Frolik. <br /> <br />City Council/April 23, 1991 <br /> Page 3 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
