PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a public heating to review the Comprehensive Parks and <br />Open Space Plan on Tuesday, May 14, 1991 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Acting City Administrator/Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Mark Boos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the public hearing to order at 8:07 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Mark Boos introduced Ron Hetland, Chairperson for the Park and Recreation Commission. Mr. <br />Boos stated that the City Council had directed that the parks element of the comprehensive plan be <br />updated in September. Over the last several years, different elements of the City's parks program <br />have been revised or added which include: Park dedication ordinance, parks inventory, <br />Mississippi Critical Rivers corridor Trail Alignment, development of parks maintenance standards, <br />development of parks maintenance standards, development of trails plan, revised parks plan, five <br />year CIP program (updated annually) and prioritized annual CIP budget request. Mr. Boos stated <br />that the Park and Recreation Commission and the City Council met on May 9, 1991 to discuss the <br />details of the park plan and tonight it is being presented with the recommendation that City Council <br />adopt the plan. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Cich, Beyer and <br />Hardin. Voting No: None <br /> <br />The Public Hearing was adjourned at 8:08 p.m. <br /> <br /> Respectfu.
