<br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-10-209 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A PART-TIME BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as part of the 2009 budget process, staff proposed and was authorized to <br />cancel the cleaning contract, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 26, 2008 the City Council authorized staff to begin a recruitment <br />process for a part-time regular employee (24 hrs/wk) to assist with cleaning City facilities, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted and 32 applications were received and <br />7 applicants were interviewed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />I) Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />Grant authorization to staff to hire Steven Paquette as the City's new part-time Building <br />Maintenance Worker, effective October 29,2008, at an hourly wage of$15.22. All other <br />personnel polices will apply normally. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />
