Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br />November 2008 <br />Crime Prevention <br />1. Northwest Anoka County Community Consortium (NWACCC) Board Meeting <br />Review monthly activities and financial reports for Youth First Community of Promise. <br />2. Alcohol Server & ID Training Provided — Sponsored a two -hour class put on by the MN <br />Alcohol, Gambling & Enforcement (AGE) division for all people who serve alcohol in <br />bars /restaurants /clubs. The training covered responsible beverage serving and identifying <br />fraudulent ID's and was offered to all businesses in Anoka County. Attendee's received a <br />certificate of attendance that would aid them in obtaining a small discount on their insurance. <br />3. Fraudulent ID Training Provided - Sponsored a one -hour class put on by the MN AGE <br />division that taught business employee's how to spot fraudulent ID's, how to recognize the <br />current security features and discussed business liability. <br />4. Tobacco Ordinance Class — Required tobacco class per city ordinance for Blaze Liquors <br />who will be opening in December. <br />5. MN Juvenile Officers Association Planning Committee — Pre - planning for annual <br />conference being held in January. <br />6. Child Passenger Safety — Instructor Meeting. Discuss upcoming technician training that <br />will be offered in January at SBM Fire. Part of a 3- person instructor team that will provide <br />the national certification course to 15 local students. <br />7. Car Seat Checks — conducted three individual car seat inspections at the police department. <br />Participated in the monthly Safe Kids Anoka County car seat clinic in Coon Rapids. Twenty- <br />six seats were inspected. <br />8. Safe Kids Anoka County — General meeting to discuss 2009 brochure including bike helmet <br />and car seat clinic schedule for the next year, safety camp date and conflicts. General <br />overview of monthly activities, budget and approval of purchases. <br />9. Youth First Paintball — Ramsey and Anoka Police and Fire personnel challenged the kids <br />from Youth First to an afternoon of paintball in Ramsey. <br />10. Alcohol Compliance Checks — In conjunction with the requirements set out in an alcohol <br />enforcement grant that we received, Officer Moldenhauer conducted the first round of <br />alcohol compliance checks on all alcohol vendors in the City. We had one failure, which is a <br />gross misdemeanor. <br />
