CC #3 <br />CONSIDER INTRODUCTION OF AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CITY CODE <br />SECTION 2.02 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />By: William Goodrich, City Attorney <br />Background: <br />Chapter 2 of the Ramsey City Code is titled Council, Boards and Commissions. Section 2.02 of <br />the Code refers to the Economic Development Authority (EDA). Section 2.02.01 titled <br />"Establishment" currently states that the City of Ramsey establishes the EDA and it shall be <br />governed by a board of seven commissioners. It further states that two of the commissioners <br />shall be members of the City Council. <br />At its January 6 Council Work Session, the City Council directed that an amendment to the <br />code be placed on the City Council agenda to allow for three (3) City Councilmembers to serve <br />on the Economic Development Authority.
