Vice Chair Dehen stated that the issue he wants to focus on is the possible Mallard Ponds gate. <br />He asked if anyone was interested in opening the gate. <br />The audience answered no. <br />Commissioner Olson stated that she thinks that the City needs to post the other side of the gate <br />and make sure it stays clear so there is emergency access. <br />Public Works Director Olson stated that it is cleared of snow, but it is usually done on the second <br />day, because of the equipment needed. He stated that therez are four options that could be <br />considered outlined in the packet. <br />that it is ari <br />City Engineer Jankowski reviewed the options and based on tought's discussion, the closure of <br />142 " at Argon Street or leaving it as it is, are thetwo options still available. <br />Leroy Stromenger, 5337 142 Lane, stated t a his whole can of as opened 18 years <br />ago. He stated that Dysprosium was a dead endtreet then'it was opened into Nowthen, but <br />most of the people cutting through are just trying` o cut to get onto : TH 47, which is <br />hogwash. He stated that the problem has been <br />created and he is concerned about someone getting killed here. <br />Vice Chair Dehen asked if anybody present was opposed to closing that area off, between Argon <br />and 142 " except for emergency vehicles. <br />Colin McGlone, 15890 St. Andrews Lane, stated that he owns a company that has to drive <br />trucks. He stated that he could get stuck in the area and not be able to get out if he has to serve <br />someone in the area. He asked if there is more traffic in the neighborhood than there is in a <br />similar neighborhood. <br />—265— <br />
