Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br />November 2008 <br />General Police Statistics and Highlights <br />Unidentified Bones Transported to Ramsey <br />On 11/19/08, investigators received a call from the St Louis County Sheriffs Office, who <br />advised that a Ramsey resident, who had been hunting near Duluth, came across what the <br />resident believed to be human bones in the woods. Upon finding the bones, the resident <br />transported them back to his home in Ramsey. The resident believed the bones to be <br />human finger bones and a human femur bone, and subsequently contacted the St Louis <br />County Sheriff's Office. Investigators from St Louis County contacted Ramsey. Police <br />and requested that investigators retrieve the bones, for transport back to the St Louis <br />County Medical Examiner, A St Louis County Investigator retrieved the bones and they <br />were submitted to their Medical Examiner's Office for identification. On 11/26/08, <br />investigators were notified by St Louis County that the bones were that of a deer and <br />would be concluding their investigation in this matter. <br />Felony Assault <br />On 11/9/08, officers responded to a report of an assault that had just occurred at the 01 <br />Skool Bar and Grill. Officers learned that a male that was refusing to leave the bar at <br />closing time had assaulted a bouncer at that location. The bouncer received numerous <br />fractures to the face including his cheek and orbital bones around the left eye. Witnesses <br />identified the suspect and he was subsequently charged with felony assault. <br />• Administrative Citations <br />Twenty -four administrative citations were issued in November. Citations were issued for <br />parking violations, public nuisance violations and an animal complaint. <br />Animal Control <br />Four dogs were lodged at the Anoka Impound Facility in November. Two were released <br />to their owners, one was adopted and one was euthanized. <br />
