Comprehensive plan <br /> plan should acknowledge should acknowledge general <br /> boundary location with fmal boundary <br /> or alignment subject to park <br /> or trail master plan <br />Rum River Regional Park X <br />Mississippi West Regional X <br />Park <br />Anoka County/Mississippi X <br />River Regional Trail <br />Central Anoka County X <br />Regional Trail <br /> <br />Rum River Central Regional Park -- Rum River Regional Park is partially located in Ramsey. <br />The 2030 Regional Parks Policy Plan includes six regional park boundary adjustments and seven <br />regional trail boundary adjustments. One of them is an adjustment of the boundary of Rum River <br />Central Regional Park. The primary purpose of the park boundary adjustment is to protect <br />regionally significant natural resource areas with significant recreation potential which are <br />adjacent to the park. Any change to this park boundary will result from an update to the Anoka <br />County Park System Plan. Anoka County Parks Department is in the process of updating this <br />plan and they will be reviewing the boundaries of Rum River Central Regional Park as a part of <br />that process. They will work with Ramsey and others on the Anoka County Park System Plan <br />update. There mayor may not be any expansion of the park in the city <br />based on the conclusions of the Anoka County Park System Plan update process. The city's <br />comprehensive plan should reflect any park boundary change within the city limits. <br /> <br />Mississippi West Regional Park - This unit has an approved master plan. The park's boundary <br />within the city should be acknowledged in the city's.comprehensive plan. John Von De Linde, <br />Anoka County Parks Director, can be contacted for further information at 763-767-2860. <br /> <br />Mississippi River Regional Trail (Anoka County segment) - This is an existing trail east of <br />Rum River in the city of Anoka. The trail is proposed to be extended to the west to connect to <br />Mississippi West Regional Park and on to Sherburne County. Anoka County will work with the <br />city and others on the completion of master plan for this part of the trail. A general alignment of <br />the trail as shown in Figure 2 should be acknowledged in the city's comprehensive plan. John <br />P-4 <br />
