Public Safety Attention Ramsey Residents Please help us keep snow away from fire hydrants. Snow piled or shoveled close to hydrants restricts operation during a fire emergency. After a snowfalL the Public Works Depmiment is responsible for clearing snow from city streets. Depending on the amount and type of snow, this could take several days. We are requesting your help in keeping our fire hydrallts accessible. Please clear a four-foot circle around allY hydrallt near your home or busi- ness to assure easy access for our Fire Depmiment. Recreational vehicles may only be operated nOlih of the 16700 block in the city of Ramsey. The city's recreational vehicle ordinallce provides reasonable regula- tions for the operation of snowmo- biles, all-terrain vehicles, off-highway motorcycles and other recreational vehicles on public and private prop- eliy within the city of Ramsey. Loading and unloading of snow- mobiles alld ATV's is available in the parking lots of Central and Elmcrest Parks to access the designated use area nOlih of the 16700 block. City ordinance also restricts the operation of recreational vehicles off of private propeliy between Novem- ber 1 and March 31, if there is not a minimum of six (6) inches of snmy cover on the ground.
