<br />" <br /> <br />CASE # R e, ) <br /> <br />PROPOSED CHANGES TO COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY SYSTEM <br />By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Attached is a letter from Jon Olson, Anoka County Engineer, requesting the City's support in the <br />redesignation of the County State Aid Highway System. These changes were discussed informally <br />at the October 24, 1995 meeting. A sketch is attached which illustrates the changes. If passed, the <br />City of Ramsey would realize a net change of 6.5 miles in state aid designation. The County feels the changes will result in an increase in the amount of allocation <br />received from the state each year. Also, the two county roads within the city added to the system, <br />C.R. #116 and C.R. #83, run adjacent to areas of the city which are expected to develop within the <br />near future. <br /> <br />The County is asking the City of Ramsey to pass the attached resolution, as City support is <br />necessary to facilitate the change. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />I recommend support of the County M.S.A. changes. <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend Council pass Resolution #95-11-XX supporting the proposed changes to <br />the County State Aid Highway System. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator <br />City Engineer <br />R&B: 11/28/95 <br />/jmk <br />
