Create pro-active strategy for sharing these messages to key stakeholder groups <br />including city leadership, all city employees, all residents, existing and future retail <br />tenants, existing and future developers, surrounding communities. <br /> <br />. This strategy may include letter to residents, press release, announcement on city web <br />site, mailing to developers, posting information at popular community locations and <br />media. <br /> <br />. Create and execute pro-active strategy to involve community residents iil the future <br />planning process. This may include regular communication through mailed and <br />online newsletter, signage in the downtown, establishment of an advisory committee <br />and media. <br /> <br />. Create and execute pro-active strategy with the development community which may <br />include a letter, direct contact with key developers, wide solicitation of any RFP <br />process and.targeted trade media. <br /> <br />. Minimize any speculation about future development or commitments and stick only <br />to what is known. <br /> <br />. Identify and reach consensus upon primary spokesperson for all media inquiries. <br />Provide coaching to this individual as needed. <br /> <br />NOTE: While LSA is equipped to assist in each and every area, the goal will be for the <br />implementation to be handled by city staff whenever possible so that outside costs can be <br />minimized. <br />
