Anyone knowing the facts is left with one logical choice - do the sidewalks now. Tt9a anal o~ Rarer ley hand their plans for Northfork) include installation of walkways at some time; installing them .now would s les (overall costs will increase inthe future, and certain things would have to be paid far two times -lawns, sprinkler, etc.); installing them now will mean zero additional cost the homeowners there will be less inconvenience fio the community having roadwork and sidewalks done at the same time; it is safer to walk on a sidewalk than on a roadway; Pualic safety should 'ae our government's rnain objective -from that standpoint, there can bey ument. People who argue that it is fiscally irresponsible to spend money on this improvement, are f r etting that money will be spent on these walkways at some point, and that at that time the money could come from -1 t~~r checking accounts instead of MsA funds!
