C~S~ ~) 1 <br />CONSIDER CONTRACT WITH HIMLE HORNER FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS <br />SERVICES RELATED TO RAMSEY TOWN CENTER <br />By: Heidi A. Nelson, Asst. City Administrator <br />Background: <br />As the City continues in its efforts to reposition and move the Ramsey Town Center <br />project forward, Council directed staff to seek proposals for public relations services. Staff has <br />met with three firms and received proposals from each of the firms. Council was provided the <br />proposals at the Special City Council meeting of February 19th <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff is recommending that the City enter into a contract with Himle Horner for <br />immediate public relations services related to Ramsey Town Center at a cost not to exceed <br />$8,000 and that the market audit portion of the Himle Horner proposal be considered at a future <br />date. Staff recommends not proceeding with the community survey portion of their proposal. <br />Staff has discussed this approach with Himle Horner representatives and they are in agreement <br />with proceeding in this manner. <br />Funding Source: <br />Staff recommends funding this project with 2009 Council Contingency Funds that later <br />could be reimbursed from the RTC Letter of Credit proceeds. <br />Council Action: <br />Authorize contract with Himle Horner for public relations services related to Ramsey <br />Town Center at a cost of not to exceed $8,000. <br />Attachments: <br />Himle Horner proposal <br />Reviewed by: ~~ <br />City Administrator <br />CC: 02/24/2008 <br />
