The placem.ent of <br />wireless teleco111l11unications a.lltennas on roofs, walls, and existing towers <br />or structures may be approved by the City Engineer, provided the antennas <br />Ineet the requirements of this Code, after stlbmittal. of 1) a final site and <br />building plan as specified. by Chapter 8 of this Code, and 2) a report <br />prepareclby a qualified and licensed professional engineer indicating the <br />existing structure or tower's suitability to accept tbe antenna, and the <br />proposed method of affixhlg the antenna to the structure, Complete details <br />of all fixtures and couplings, and the precise point of attachment shall be <br />indicated. <br /> <br />b. The replacement of an existing light pole or lighting standard in order to <br />accommodate the placement of an antenna thereon shall be approved by <br />issuance of a building permit based upon administrative review. <br /> <br />.9.15.16 Interference with Public Safety Telecommunications. No new or existing <br />telecommunications service shall interfere with public safety telecommunications, in accordance <br />with the rules and regulations of the Federal Conll1mnications Cot11111issi011., Before the <br />iiltrbduction of new service or changes in existing selvice, telecoml11unication providers shall <br />notify the City at leastten (10) calendar days in advance of such changes and allow the City to <br />monitor interference levels during the testing process. <br /> <br />9.15.17 Ad.ditional Submittal Requirements. lnadditioll to the information required <br />elsewhere in this Code, development applications for towers shall include the following <br />supplemental information: <br /> <br />a. A report fi'om a qualit1ed and licensed professional engineer which: <br /> <br />1. describes the tower height and design including a cross-section and <br />elevation, <br /> <br />2. documents the height above grade for aU potentialmountlng positions <br />for co-located antelU1as and the minimum separation distances between <br />antennas, <br /> <br />3. describes the tower's capacity, including the number and type of <br />antelmas that it can aceoml11odate, and <br /> <br />4. includes other information necessary to evaluate the request. <br /> <br />b. For all cOl11mercial wireless telecol11l11unication service towers, a letter of <br />intent cOllunitting the tower owner and his or her successors to allow the <br />shared 'Use of the tower if an additional user agrees in writi11g to meet <br />reasonable terms and conditions for shared use. <br /> <br />-47- <br />
