CASE ,# k i <br />ADOPT ORDINANCE TO AMEND DEFINITIONS OF PRIMARY RESDIENTIAL GARAGE & <br />HOME OCCUPATION IN CITY CODE 9.02 (DEFINITIONS) <br />By: Al Haugen, Management Intern <br />Background: <br />June 16, 2008 the Home Occupation Ordinance was amended to include an administrative permitting <br />process and to relax the regulations for accessory structure home occupations. This proposed ordinance <br />will clarify the definition of Primary Residential Garage and Home Occupation to reflect changes the <br />changes that were made to 9.11.04 (Home Occupations) on June 16, 2008. <br />Notification: <br />The Public Hearing was held on February 5, 2009 to consider amendments to Chapter 9.02 (Definitions) <br />and was properly advertised in the official City newspaper. <br />Funding Source: <br />All costs associated with processing the City Code amendments are handled through normal staff duties. <br />Recommendation: <br />This ordinance was introduced at the City Council meeting of February 20, 2009 and is now eligible for <br />adoption. <br />The Planning Commission met on February 5, 2009 and by a vote of 5 to 0 recommended the City <br />Council adopt Ordinance #09- — to amend the definitions of Primary Residential Garage, and Home <br />Occupation in City Code §9.02. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to waive City Charter requirement to read Ordinance aloud and to adopt Ordinance #09 -_ <br />to amend the definitions of Primary Residential Garage, and Home Occupation in City Code §9.02 <br />(Definitions). <br />Roll Call Vote: Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />-231- <br />
