Project Proposal 2
The professional site and landscape design work of this project proposal is being

contracted with Ryan McAlpine of Bachman's Landscaping. Ryan has bachelor degrees in

Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design from North Dakota State University, has

supervised numerous installation crews for Bachman's and is a proven effective designer and

project manager. Proposed project specifications and landscape design services provided by

Ryan are included in these documents as Attachment B.

SITE FEATURES

The proposed garden area will include newly planted landscaped gardens, enhanced natural

wetland prairies, a memorial tree, boulder, paver walkways and reflection benches. Attachment

A provides specific plant and tree recommendations. Attachment B provides site design specifics
adherent to both site locations, respectively.

SITE LOCATION

There are two proposed sites recommended for this project.

Site # 1 - located on the northwest parcel of land at Sun wood Drive and Junkite Street.

Attachment A provides a photograph of this site. This site is the preferred site for this project for

several reasons; 1) site # 1 is in within direct proximity to the Junkite neighborhood and

community individuals most strongly impacted by the tragic loss of Luke Crotteau, 2) site #1 is

currently being misused by neighboring properties, such as dirt bike tracking and snowmobile

jumps, and is in a constant state ofunaestheticness along the high trafficked Sunwood Drive, 3)

forecasted budget dollars would allow for greater enhancements due to smaller site size and

require less ground grading for ADA compliancy (approximately 80 yards of clean fill), 4)

maintenance of the site would be more easily facilitated by project supporters, and 5) the existing

natural wetlands in the surrounding site area would benefit from the land renovations as

proposed project plans include work to be performed by Prairie Restorations, Inc.
